Passion Turn Professional

Oct 22, 2023 | Brazil, Travel Blog

Three weeks have passed since I returned to Lençóis to do a work exchange and undertake my first videography project with one of my all-time favorite hostels: Chapada Backpackers Hostel. It has been a dream come true to pursue something I love and make a living from it. It feels good to transition one of my passions from being a hobbyist to a professional.

It has been quite an interesting experience, working hard and long hours while thoroughly enjoying every moment of it. It has been epic getting to spend more time exploring Chapada Diamantina and visiting new places I have not been to before. Plus, I now finally have a camera drone to record these amazing places and adventures!

I’ve had the amazing opportunity to go on some epic treks and camping trips in the Chapada over the last few weeks. I completed a 4-day trek from Lençóis to Capão, where I had the chance to see Cachoeira Mixila and Fumaça from both below and above. It was one of the most challenging and breathtaking hikes I’ve ever done! I also just returned from a 3-day trek through Vale do Pati, which was one of the most beautiful hikes I’ve ever experienced. Plus, I got to sleep in my hammock under the stars, surrounded by fireflies, with the epic mountains in the background…
