It’s about the journey, not the destination…

After eight years of being back home in Cayman and accomplishing many of my goals, I have been looking forward to living back out of my backpack, sleeping in my jungle hammock under the stars, and being back in the wild open road again.  Endlessly, I have tried to think of how to articulate and explain to others the “state of being” and “mind frame” one acquires when traveling for long periods.  The benefits and life lessons learned are not always measurable or observable but often leave a significant impression on you that lasts forever.

México City bound

So, México City, México is where my journey will begin this time and we shall see what adventures are to come.  There definitely will be plenty of thrills and excitement along the way, as well as a little bit of danger and risk-taking.  I am looking forward to meeting new faces, embracing myself in antithetic cultures, and reuniting with the amazing nature.  This blog is the beginning of a new story and a platform to follow along with me on this inspiring and exhilarating adventure through Central & South America.
