2 Months in Paraíso

Feb 5, 2023 | Brazil, Travel Blog

I’ve been in Brazil for two months now, and all I can say is WOW!  But seriously, this country is really something!  It is definitely my favorite and the most amazing country I have ever visited.  The nature is stunning, and the people are so friendly.  I’m not going to lie the language is extremely difficult and makes things pretty challenging at times, but the kindness of the people here makes up for it.  So, I am learning Portuguese, but it’s going quite slowly.

So far, it feels like I have explored and seen a lot of Brazil, but in reality, especially when you look at a map, you realize I haven’t seen much of Brazil at all.  It constantly surprises me just how massive Brazil really is.  I am shocked at how much nature there is to explore here!  There are not hundreds but thousands of waterfalls.  As well, there are a never-ending number of epic beaches.  Wow, Brazil makes you feel like you’re in a fairytale or a movie like Tarzan or The Jungle Book.

Recently, I got to stay on and explore another magical island called Ilha do Mel (which translates to Honey Island) in Paraná – it felt like living in a dream.  Also, I am very grateful and enjoyed doing some adventures with an old-time friend from the U.S. who was visiting me for a month – thanks Kyle for the priceless memories and enjoy the journey!   At this point, I am really falling in love with Brazil and am excited that I got my tourist visa extended until the end of May.  So that means more exploring and adventures to come!!
